March 3, 2015 - Cuastacomote

Cuastacomote was quite beautiful.  A nice short ride just around the corner from Melaque.  We approached and were surprised we were the lone vessel.  A nice and calm little cove with several palapa restaurants, a few homes and hotels and not much else.  Of course soon after we arrived another vessel came in followed later by three others, two that stayed for the day and went back to Melaque or Barra de Navidad.  We stayed the first night and decided on an additional night before heading to Tenecatita.   Along with a nice meal one evening (shrimp burgers were recommended by another boater in the anchorage) we had gorgeous sunsets both nights.

Cuastacomte anchorage.  Nobody here!

Taking the dinghy out to explore the anchorage

Cindy skimboarding on the fabulous soft sand beach
Walking the beach.  It was the weekend so it was a little busy

Walking on a new street in Custacomote.  Several new streets in town definitely
separate this town from most we've been to.  The typical streets are rough
cobblestone or even pothole laden dirt roads.  This street is still being built.

Chickens roam free in Mexico, even inside restaurants.
Free-range chicken - yummy!
Most of the beachside palapas have musicians that wander through
and will play music for you.  They of course want a few pesos after
they are done.  Adagio anchored out front.
Cindy and Kevin working on some sort of
trust building exercise.

Apparently they trust each other.

Beautiful sunset in Cuastacomote

Jumping from the side of the boat.

It is so nice to be boating in 75 degree water.
We end up in the water almost every day.
Spectacular sunsets seem more common in Mexico

A perfect ending in another fantastic anchorage.
